Our member’s view on the current situation was very inspiring. Whilst they all had some challenges, and missed interacting in person with their friends, they all agreed that whilst we need to keep up to date with the evolving situation to keep safe, there was no point in focusing on the negative.

They have all found innovative ways of keeping active and practising their various sports and time to spend on outdoor activities such as bike riding.

We can all learn from them.

How can you maintain a positive attitude during this time of uncertainty?

"Focus on what is important to you instead of the current negative situation. Technology helps."

- Yogesh

"Do activities to calm your mind like yoga and meditation."

- Navinka

"Don’t focus on what is happening – forget your normal and adopt to the new normal like social distancing etc."

– Aayan

They were also able to identify a number of positive outcomes

"The current restrictions have freed up everyone’s time and we are interacting more as a family and with extended family from all around the world."

- Aarushi

"Pointed out the importance of connecting with the elders, like talking to her grandparents, who she identified as emotionally vulnerable, and provide them reassurance."

- Vivien

"When recalling the previous sessions covering 'Procrastination’ and ‘Developing Good Study Habits’, Dhaksha said that the activity on identifying their blockers and implementing an effective study plan had helped her greatly during homeschooling."

- Dhaksha
